The NLINK ADC to SAP Solution works with on any device/tablet in with an HTML5-compatible browser. There is no need to deploy any an application to the device(s). However, in cases where the browser-based solution is not acceptable,  NLINK the NLINK Mobile application can be used as an alternative. 

The NLINK Mobile application currently is only supported on Android devices.

  • Android device(s) should be running Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) or later.
  • Firewall on NLINK Host is setup to allow incoming requests for ADC Port (default port is 9812)

NLINK Mobile application

The NLINK Mobile application is not a public application. It can be deployed using various private channels. The NLINK Mobile application setup has two parts:

  1. Install NLINK Mobile application
  2. Setup NLINK Mobile Applicationapplication

Installing NLINK Mobile application

Since the NLINK Mobile application is not a public application. It , it cannot be downloaded on from Google Play. Instead, the NLINK Mobile Application can be used distributed using private channel distributed via various Enterprise Mobility Management tools or using an internal web site.

  1. Using Mobile Device Enterprise Mobility Management Tools
    There are many different Mobile Device Enterprise Mobility Management tools available in the market. Any tool that allows deploying and managing Android Application Applications can be used to distribute the NLINK Mobile application. The NLINK Mobiile Mobiie Android Application Package (APK) can be found on your NLINK ADC to SAP Solution host. The local location of apk the APK is " [NLINK_INSTALL_FOLDER]\wwwroot\NLINK Application.apk", where [NLINK_INSTALL_FOLDER] is typically typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Junot Systems (for 64 bit). Follow the specific steps need by Mobile Device needed by your Enterprise Mobility Management tool to deploy the Android Application internally.

  2. Using private Internal web site
    Without using Mobile Device Management tool using Enterprise Mobility Management tools or Google Play, the NLINK Mobile application can be deployed using private web site. However, your devices will have to allow installation of applications from "Unknown Sources".
