Missing Properties or Cannot See Names in NCM

Problem

If you cannot find a particular Property or Attribute in the NCM, or if you are seeing ID numbers instead of names (or vice versa) in Action Parameters, you may need to adjust the Visibility Settings in the NCM.

Solution

Open the NCM Options and Settings dialog

  • Choose Tools >> Options... from the NCM menu.
  • Select the Settings tab.

Consider the choices in the Visibility Settings section:

Show Names in Action Parameters controls whether you see object Names or ID numbers in configured Action Parameters in the Action tab of the NCM and NDM.

Show Advanced Options controls whether you see various infrequently-used Properties and Attributes throughout the NCM.
