Follow these steps to install the NLINK Mobile Application used to access ADC screens on connected device.


Prerequisites

  • NLINK ADC to SAP Solution is installed and running
  • Proper licensing in place to install NLINK Mobile application on mobile device
  • NLINK Server is running

Step-by-step guide

Mobile Device Prerequisites

  1. Running Android 4.4 (Kitkat) or later.
  2. Is connected to wireless network and can reach NLINK Server machine via port 9812

Download NLINK Mobile Application 

  1. From browser on device, type in following URL

    http://[NLINKHOST]:9812/adc.html

    where [NLINKHOST] is name or IP Address of machine where NLINK is installed and running.

  2. A page with NLINK Mobile download instructions will be rendered
  3. Click on the link to download application, and install the application
    1. When trying to install the application if you see following warning, it is because app was not downloaded from "Google Play" store. 
    2. To get around the issue, you will have to change Security settings on device. 
      1. Open application "Settings" and goto "Security" option. 
      2. In "Security", check the box called "Unknown sources". Once you select the option you will get a warning, press "OK" on warning
      3. NLINK application requires access to disk and wireless network and also Bluetooth, So in following screen press "OK"

Registering application

After NLINK Mobile is installed on device, first step is to register device and download configuration.

  1. Make sure device is connected to wireless network
  2. Start NLINK Mobile application by selecting application "NLINK Mobile"
     
  3. In the window that is displayed
    1. For Host enter [NLINKHOST] as above (name or IP Address of the machine where NLINK is installed and running)
    2. For Password enter the NLINK Mobile administrator password as configured in your meta-database. Default value is “password” (all lower case)
  4. Press the Register button
  5. Once the registration is successful you will see following window to logon. Enter the credentials you use to logon to NLINK (depending on authentication used, it can be Windows domain or SAP logon)



Known Issue

If the devices loses connection to network in middle posting,in some cases  multiple messages are displayed. All indicate lack of network connection
