SAP Navigation Overview

SAP Transactions can be called either by navigating to the appropriate location within the SAP tree, or by simply entering the transaction in the SAP Command Field.

The value you put into this field is not case sensitive.

This is the place where you would enter the relevant SAP transaction codes. However, if you are inside of a transaction, you won't be able to jump to another transaction unless you exit out of that transaction. This "exit-ing" function can be done either by backing out however many steps, or by simply prefixing your transaction code with /n.

For example…if you are in Material Master transaction (MM03), and you want to jump to the Purchase Order transaction (ME22N), simply type /nME22N in the transaction code input. This will exit out of Material Master, and jump into Purchase order.

To "back out" of a transaction, click on the Back Option (the green-arrow button) in the menu.

To Exit out of a transaction back to the SAP Easy Access root menu, click on the Exit Option (the yellow-arrow button) in the menu, or simply enter /n in the command field.
