Install SAP Front End (SAPGUI)
Follow these steps to install the SAP Front End in order to access the SAP system.
Step-by-step guide
Download zip file
Follow separately provided instructions to download a zip file containing the SAPGUI Front End installation. Extract the contents of the zip file to a drive accessible by the machine on which you want to install the SAPGUI.- Run installation
The top level folder inside the zip file is NW_7.0_Presentation. Inside that folder, drill down as follows: PRES1 >> GUI >> WINDOWS >> WIN32 and run the SapGuiSetup.exe. - On the component selection screen, choose only the first option, “SAP GUI for Windows”.
- Accept or change the installation location
- Complete the installation Wizard
- Add Logon Entry to SAP Logon application
Run the SAP Logon application form the Desktop or Start Menu - Click the New Connection icon on the toolbar to start the Create New System Entry Wizard.
- Choose User Specified System.
- Choose Custom Application Server as the Connection Type and fill in the System Connection Parameters for your SAP system (provided separately).
- Test Connection to SAP System via SAPGUI
Double-click on the new entry in the SAP Logon System List. - Enter the Username and Password (provided separately).
- On successful login, you will see the main SAP Easy Access menu.
