Saving NLINK Event Log Messages
The NLINK Server makes use of a Windows Application Event Log to log information, warning and error messages. The NLINK Management Module (NMM) presents these messages in an NLINK-specific Event Viewer. Along with other management tools, the NMM offers the ability to save the Event Log messages to a file.
Gather Logs, including the Event Log Messages
To save the Event Logs messages along with other logs and diagnostic files:
Choose Tools >> Gather Logs from the menu. This opens a dialog listing the contents of the Logs folder along with some other relevant files.
Select or de-select files and subfolders as desired. Right-click for a context menu of additional choices.
Click the OK button. The NMM creates a zip file in the Logs folder containing the selected files and subfolders.
Save only the Event Log Messages
To save the Event Log messages only:
Right-click anywhere in the main message listing window
Choose Save from the context menu
Select the desired save location and filename using the standard Windows dialog
The NMM also provides the option to view saved Event Log files. Choose the Open option from the context menu shown above.
The Save option is not available when viewing saved Event Logs.
