How to Find Files in an NLINK Installation

Follow these steps if you need to find the current active meta-database file, the NLINK Logs folder, or other NLINK-related files.

Step-by-step guide

The NMM can help you locate various files that are involved in your NLINK installation.

Check the system tray to see if an instance of NMM is already running. You can open the NMM whether the NLINK Server is running or not

Active Meta-Database

The top node of the navigation tree in the left pane of the NMM contains the server name. Click on this to see the full path to the active meta-database file in the detail pane on the right.

Choose Options >>  Goto Meta-Database Folder from the menu to open an Explorer window at that location.

Note that you can also go to the Logs folder (to gather log or trace files) or the Installation folder (to install a license file) from here.

Log Files

The NMM also provides a tool to help gather log files.

SAPNWRFC.ini File

The NMM will open the SAPNWRFC.ini file in Notepad for editing.
